Bisoprolol

• Before taking this medicine, consult your doctor if you have any of the following conditions:
  • Diabetes
  • Certain types of heart rhythm problems (such as sinus bradycardia, second- or third-degree atrial block), heart failure
  • Kidney or liver problems
  • Mild asthma or chronic lung disease
  • Skin cancer
  • Thyroid disorder
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding

• If you forget to take a dose, take the medicine if it is not time for the next dose, but if it is time for the next dose, do not double the dose and take only the next dose as usual.
• Depending on how well the medicine is tolerated, the ability to drive or operate machinery may be affected, especially at the beginning of treatment, when the dose is increased or when the medicine is changed.

Take the medicine exactly as your doctor tells you.

If you are not sure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

The tablet should be swallowed with a full glass of water.

It is best to avoid taking this medication within 4 hours of bedtime so that you do not have to wake up to urinate.

If you are also taking cholestyramine or colestipol, take bisoprolol/hydrochlorothiazide at least 4 hours before or at least 4 to 6 hours after either of these medications.

• Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
• Avoid taking expired medications.
• Store the medicine at a temperature below 30 degrees Celsius, away from light and moisture.
